Decu Clear Deep Pour is a 2 part 2:
1 crystal clear deep pour epoxy producing a completely clear water-like result. Decu Clear Deep Pour epoxy is ideal for river tables, live edge and all other casting applications. Decu Clear is completely compatible with any color or tint or flake additive.
Multiple layers of up to 2 inches at a time can be poured after proper cure time. Before adding additional layers sand the surface toughly to ensure a proper mechanical bond.
Each epoxy kit includes a resin (part A) and a hardener (part B).
Before You Begin
Before you begin your project be sure you have the proper protective clothing eye gear gloves and if needed respirator. Read all instructions properly and follow directions as recommended if you have an allergy to epoxy do not use this product.
Surface Preparation
All surfaces to be coated need to be clean and free of any loose components, dirt, grease, or rot.
A thin coat of fast drying epoxy or clear sealer is recommended to seal any porous surfaces that might release air into your project do this after sanding the surface first. Your work project needs to be dry and in a temperature range of 60f to 90f degrees. Caution the hotter it is the faster it cures and the colder it is the slower it cures.
Most 2 inch applications dry completely within 72 to 120 hours depending on temperature and humidity.
Make sure the wood you are using is kiln dried (very important) to ensure that your project does not warp
How to Use
Before beginning, make sure the temperature is within the recommended 70°F to 85°F temperatures. It is imperative to measure and mix the 2 part system in exact proportions. This epoxy is a 2 to 1 ratio mixture by volume. 2 parts of epoxy part A and 1 part activator part B.
Mixing by hand with a mixing stick or with an electric drill paddle from 3 to 5 minutes depending on the amount of product you are preparing is recommended make sure you are scraping the sides of your bucket to ensure proper mixing. Failure to do this can result in a mix that does not cure properly. It is recommended to add part b to your dry container first and then add part a. Mix until there are no streaks in the mix and is a consistent texture.
Pour your mix evenly and slowly. Small bubbles will rise to the surface and can be removed with a heat gun or propane/butane touch.
